Wireframing

Adopting good form.

A client was in need of a having a signup form be designed for their new pet adoption website. This form ideally would entice visitors to sign up for their newsletter to receive emails about adoptable pets as well as communicate with local shelters and search through available pets in their area through the website. The task was to design a wireframe of the signup form and to provide an explanation of the design to the client.

A challenge and primary task were finding out who the audience and stakeholders were for this website. Once that was determined the goal became to gain new sign-ups from that audience visiting the site that were interested in adopting a pet. Upon obtaining the information they provided, they would be able to receive emails regarding available pets and be able to communicate with shelters. The end result was a wireframe that showed all the steps of the form and used design patterns that are standard and good practice in forms. An explanation of the design choices and UX patterns used was provided to the client.
